What I love about mahjong is the dedicated time it creates to sit down, be present, and connect with others.
The game is part strategy, part luck and always a little unpredictable - which is what makes it so fun.
I've also found it brings people from different generations and backgrounds to the same table. You can sit down with four strangers and a couple hours later walk away having made new friends.
For me, mahjong is more than a game, it's a reason to take time for yourself and slow down a bit.
